Wiang Nuea is part of the appeal
The property is on Wang Nuea Road. Current booking descriptions place it near the cultural street, Baan Sao Nak and the Ratsada Phisek Bridge area. This is a city-based stay, useful for discovering Lampang’s urban setting after a temple excursion. It should not be described as accommodation beside Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, which is in Ko Kha district outside town.
The garden and terrace distinguish the accommodation from a conventional city block. Booking.com describes a shared lounge and free bicycles as well. Those features offer ways to spend time at or around the property, but they do not prove a particular cycling route to the rural temple is appropriate. Plan that outing as its own road journey.
Look for the balcony in the actual category
Trip.com lists Superior Double, Superior Twin and Deluxe Double with Private Balcony categories. Its Superior Double card gives 30 square metres and places rooms on floors 1–2. The Deluxe label specifically includes a private balcony, so the sitting area outside is a more useful distinction than assuming the room names simply mean progressively better furnishings.
The category information describes private bathrooms and windows. A booking description of a window should not be expanded into a promise of a wide garden view from every room. If the balcony is important for an afternoon at the property, select that named feature rather than borrowing it from a photograph of another category.
The small-property setting may appeal to a traveller interested in northern architectural detail without expecting the accommodation to replicate a temple. The real decision is between a garden room and a more full-service urban hotel, not between competing claims to be the most authentic place in Lampang.

A peaceful garden does not answer every sound question
A guest account published on Trip.com in July 2026 describes a comfortable, peaceful garden property and friendly staff. A 2024 guest also liked the garden breakfast setting and the location opposite the cultural street. These are useful accounts of what travellers valued beyond the bedroom itself.
A more detailed November 2023 account concerned a second-floor Deluxe Double with balcony. The guest liked the bed and garden-facing sitting space but found that sound carried from neighbouring rooms, amplified by the room’s hard surfaces. This older room-specific observation is worth preserving as context; it does not prove that the same condition remains in every room today.
The distinction is relevant for light sleepers: quiet surroundings and strong internal sound separation are different features. Auangkham’s garden may be exactly the setting a traveller wants, while the room position and sound sensitivity still need attention. Neither the positive garden reports nor the older complaint should erase the other.
Use it as a Lampang stay with a planned temple outing
The property’s garden, small lounge spaces and room balconies support a slower city stay. The grounds are part of its appeal rather than simply decoration around a place to sleep. Someone wanting extensive resort facilities should compare that need with the actual published offer, instead of assuming that Resort in the name implies a large leisure complex.
For the visit to Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, arrange the outward and return road legs separately from any old-town walking plan. Auangkham is a useful option when the urban heritage and a garden base are both priorities, and when the room layout and sound tradeoff suit the traveller.
