Baan Lapoon Hotel

Baan Lapoon Hotel review: Lamphun garden setting,24-versus 28-square-metre rooms, bicycle reports and a bathroom tradeoff before choosing a temple base.

Baan Lapoon Hotel offers a small garden setting in Lamphun with a more domestic feel than a large roadside hotel. The address on Phra Khong Ruesri Road suits a town stay with a separate visit to Wat Phra That Hariphunchai. Guests particularly describe friendly owners, but one recent bathroom account is worth reading alongside that praise.

Superior and Deluxe mainly differ in space

Agoda publishes 24 square metres for Superior and 28 for Deluxe. Trip.com describes both as offering a double or two single beds. The small increase in room size is therefore the clearer distinction; a Deluxe label should not be taken as evidence of a separate living room or an altogether different sleeping capacity.

Some Agoda bed summaries combine king and single beds in a way that could be mistaken for several beds in every room. Trip.com’s alternative-bed wording is more cautious. The selected room offer should establish which arrangement is allocated, particularly for friends who need two separate beds.

Owners and bicycles feature in the recent accounts

An October 2026 Agoda Superior guest described a simple, clean room, a large bathroom, kind owners and a bicycle used for exploring. A November 2025 visitor likewise liked the personal service and calm setting. These details suggest a stay built around modest comforts rather than an extensive list of leisure facilities.

The bicycle report is useful for travellers comfortable exploring Lamphun that way. It does not establish a guaranteed cycle for every guest or an organised temple tour. The property can support time in town without needing to turn every reported favour into a permanent hotel service.

A large bathroom can still have a practical drawback

A guest in a Superior room in December 2025 found the water pressure weak and said the bathroom floor became wet because the shower had no curtain. They also needed to borrow a hairdryer. That is one room experience, not proof that every bathroom is configured identically.

It is nevertheless a more useful consideration than calling all bathrooms spacious and stopping there. Floor separation and water pressure can matter especially to someone who expects a quick, easy shower before an early temple outing. The positive cleanliness account and the bathroom limitation can both be retained without cancelling each other out.

A town base with a garden pause

Trip.com lists the same 183/1 address and shows a garden, parking and laundry facilities. A 2024 guest liked the shaded seating and tea-and-coffee corner. Another described a short drive to the centre and nearby food, giving a picture of a small Lamphun neighbourhood stay rather than a location within Chiang Mai.

This is an important distinction for a northern temple itinerary. Staying here makes sense when Lamphun itself has time in the plan. It does not place you at Chiang Mai’s old-city temples, and even the Hariphunchai visit requires attention to the actual approach from the hotel.

Breakfast is not a dependable reason to choose it

Older guest remarks mention breakfast, whereas current Trip.com information says breakfast is not provided. The evidence does not support promising a meal inclusion or a particular menu. The coffee-corner account is a different, smaller convenience and should not be used to fill that gap.

For travellers happy to arrange food in town, this may be a modest issue. Someone planning to leave before local eating places open has a more specific reason to settle the morning arrangement directly. The point is not to dismiss the accommodation, but to avoid choosing it for a service the current information does not establish.

Where its character fits the trip

The more persuasive case for Baan Lapoon is a clean, small-property room, garden seating and the personal help described by visitors. The larger Deluxe footprint may suit a couple wanting a little more room, while the Superior category can be sufficient for a short stop without much time indoors.

Travellers expecting a pool, a broad breakfast operation or a location immediately beside the main relic temple have less evidence for those expectations. For an unhurried Lamphun chapter, its neighbourhood scale is a valid attraction in itself. Keep the actual bed option and bathroom requirements central to the room choice.
