Agoda lists Standard Double and Standard Twin at 20 square metres. The Double has one double bed; the Twin has two singles. This is a choice about sleeping arrangement rather than a large change in floor space. A couple and two friends can therefore make different sensible selections without needing a higher category.
The listed private bathroom, shower, air conditioning, refrigerator and desk describe a functional short-stay room. There is no evidence here for a separate lounge or a resort-style room layout. Guests carrying larger luggage may value the simplicity, but should expect to use the same compact room for sleeping, unpacking and any desk work.
Do not send your driver to the other branch
The official HOP INN website keeps a separate page for this property and for Lampang City Center. A Trip.com guest who stayed in May 2024 specifically warned travellers to choose the City Center branch if the closest position to the bus station was their priority. That was the guest’s practical distinction, not a measured walking guarantee for this hotel.
The Phaholyothin address is the useful identifier for transfers and arrival. The brand name alone is insufficient. This branch can support a Lampang town stay, but Wat Phra That Lampang Luang is outside town, so its place in the trip still depends on an onward road journey rather than a walk from reception.
Sound reports do not point in one direction
An Agoda Standard Twin guest in July 2026 reported hearing conversations from other rooms or the corridor. They also encountered maintenance noise, which they said had been announced. A September Twin guest described a quiet room despite the road nearby. Those accounts should not be flattened into either “silent” or “always noisy.”
Older Trip.com Standard Double accounts also mentioned a noisy air conditioner, including stays in January and February 2025. Air-conditioning noise and voices from the corridor are different concerns. A light sleeper has reason to consider both, even though the individual reports do not establish that every room has the same problem.
Convenience means ordinary things close at hand
A February 2026 Agoda guest described a convenience store across the road, a restaurant in front and spacious parking. September guests also appreciated parking and a comfortable bed. These details are more useful for an overnight road trip than an undifferentiated list of all Lampang’s attractions.
Trip.com visitors noted the coffee machine near reception and morning hot drinks. Treat that as a modest convenience rather than a full cooked breakfast. Someone leaving early for Lampang Luang may find a simple start sufficient, while a traveller wanting a long hotel breakfast should not infer one from the availability of coffee.
Best considered as a practical Lampang stop
The official chain page states check-in from 14:00 and check-out by 12:00. Its local information places the property near Lampang shopping areas and several town temples. Those descriptions help identify the urban context; they do not provide a hotel-operated temple transfer or a timetable.
This is a reasonable candidate for travellers who want familiar room essentials and parking while spending most of their time out. Its strongest case is practical access to the town part of a driving itinerary. If the accommodation itself is intended to provide a garden, pool or substantial leisure afternoon, the evidence supports looking at a different type of Lampang stay.
