The connecting option is genuinely different
Agoda lists Deluxe Twin and Deluxe King Bed at 30 square metres. It also lists Deluxe Connecting King and Twin Rooms at 60 square metres, with two bathrooms. This is a more meaningful difference than a decorative upgrade: two linked rooms can separate sleeping groups while retaining a connection between them.
The Twin is listed with two singles and the King category with a large bed. Bed labels vary across some supplier entries, so use the named arrangement on the selected offer rather than assuming a generic “deluxe” description establishes it. The two-bathroom connecting category is particularly worth distinguishing from one oversized room.
Balconies and a separate reception area
A November 2025 Trip.com guest described reception in its own annex, with the room building connected by a small bridge. They also enjoyed balcony counter seating and the open-air morning area. That gives a more concrete picture of the stay than the phrase “garden hotel.”
The balcony is useful if you value a place to sit outside the sleeping area, but it should be attached to the booked room description. A photograph of a balcony somewhere on the property is not proof that an assigned room will have the same position or view.
Helpful hosts, with some room-specific limitations
An April 2026 Agoda Deluxe Twin guest appreciated room-choice help, a comfortable bed and bicycles for exploring. A May Twin guest also praised assistance but reported unstable Wi-Fi and weak shower flow through the water heater. These are compatible accounts of the same small hotel: personal service does not settle every technical detail in a room.
For someone planning to work between temple visits, the Wi-Fi report matters more than it may for a brief overnight stay. For guests choosing largely on bathroom comfort, it is useful to retain the shower observation as one account rather than turn favourable room ratings into an unconditional assurance.
Morning refreshments are lighter than a full buffet
Agoda visitors in April and May 2026 described toast, spreads, drinks and snacks. The April reviewer explicitly cautioned against expecting a fully stocked breakfast. A March 2026 Trip.com visitor likewise mentioned coffee and snacks in the morning.
That can be enough before going into Lamphun for a meal and sightseeing. It is a different offering from a cooked breakfast with a broad range of dishes. Guest reports establish what those visitors received; they do not fix a permanent menu or override the meal arrangement on a current booking.
Consider the approach after dark
An October 2026 Deluxe King guest described a quiet, clean stay, but said there were no streetlights in front and advised allowing more time without a private car. This is a practical reason to plan the return journey rather than judge the location only by daytime descriptions of walking or cycling.
Bicycle availability is reported repeatedly, though accounts differ between loan and rental wording. Do not assume a particular bicycle is guaranteed or that a night ride is the appropriate option. A guest loan does not establish a scheduled shuttle or a transport service to every temple.
A Lamphun stay rather than a hurried day trip
Phaya Inn can suit travellers who want to spend a night in Lamphun and give Hariphunchai and the surrounding town their own day. The room options and small-property setting support that role. It is less suited to someone whose priority is a large breakfast operation, guaranteed work connectivity or an immediate position on the main temple square.
The strongest reason to consider it is the combination of space and individual attention, not an assumption that a quiet address eliminates every inconvenience. The connecting category, balcony position and daytime-versus-evening approach are the decisions that distinguish this stay from a generic Lamphun room.
