Chayadol Resort

Consider Chayadol Resort’s village setting, king or twin room choices and private balconies, with guest observations on quiet, sound and beds.

Chayadol Resort is in Kornrat Village rather than the night-market core of Chiang Rai. Its attraction is a small-property stay with private balconies and a pool, followed by planned journeys into town or out to the temples. The room collection is simple, but the official king-room size information is inconsistent, making layout and bed choice more reliable decision points than the largest advertised area.

Two room names, a useful bed choice

The official accommodation pages show Deluxe Twin and Deluxe King rooms. The Twin page gives 28 square metres, two single beds, air conditioning, a sitting area, a refrigerator and a private balcony with an en-suite bathroom. That is a clear option for companions who want separate beds and some sitting space beyond the sleeping area.

The King page describes the same broad facilities and labels the room for two guests with one double bed. However, its heading says 28 square metres while a second size label says 42 square metres. Those figures conflict on the hotel’s own page. It would be misleading to promise 42 square metres because it is the larger number; confirm the exact category dimensions if floor area is decisive.

For most travellers, the useful comparison remains separate beds versus a shared bed, and the balcony’s actual orientation. A room called King does not by itself prove a larger floor plan. The balcony can provide a place to sit between outings without changing the hotel’s village location into a central-city address.

The village location is intentional

The property introduces itself as a home-style boutique hotel in Kornrat Village, with the address on Sunkhongluang Road. An Expedia guest staying in January 2026 described a quiet small hotel outside the centre. Another 2025 guest appreciated the calmer area and availability of bicycles. These are useful accounts of the stay’s setting, not a verified cycle route or a promise that every journey can comfortably be made on a bike.

A traveller with a car or arranged transport may value returning to this quieter base after Wat Rong Khun. Someone wanting to walk straight from dinner at the central night bazaar into the hotel should compare a more central option. Both choices are reasonable, but they organise the evening differently.

Outside quiet does not ensure bedroom isolation

An Expedia guest in November 2024 found the staff helpful and the neighbourhood quiet, yet reported hearing neighbours above and noise near the breakfast area. Another guest in the same period also mentioned sound carrying between rooms. These accounts distinguish a calm location from the construction’s internal sound separation.

The bed feedback is personal rather than unanimous. A February 2024 guest found the mattress too hard, while another 2024 guest described comfortable beds despite other concerns. If bedding firmness is a major issue, the reviews give a reason to ask about the current room setup; they do not establish that every bed is uncomfortable.

A February 2026 guest described the small property as clean and quiet. The variation over time and between rooms matters more than choosing only the most enthusiastic account. A light sleeper may still want to discuss an upper room or a position away from the breakfast space, without assuming that such a request guarantees silence.

Use the pool and balcony as part of the stay

The official site lists a swimming pool, restaurant and fitness area. Expedia also lists an outdoor pool and room balconies. Those features make it possible to spend time at the accommodation rather than arranging every break in the city centre. They should not be mistaken for the scale or service offer of a large riverside resort.

For this temple itinerary, Chayadol works as a Chiang Rai base with deliberate transport arrangements. The White Temple lies south of town and the Blue Temple is in the Kok River area; the hotel’s position does not put both within one immediate neighbourhood. Its appeal is a simple room-and-balcony stay in a quieter area, provided the village setting and the guest sound reports fit the traveller’s priorities.
