Choose the bed and outlook together
The official room list distinguishes Standard Bungalow Garden with twin beds, Superior Bungalow Garden with a king bed, and Poolside View Access bungalows in king or twin versions. The hotel describes 79 bungalows, with 20 around the lagoon-style pool. A poolside category therefore means proximity to a shared pool, not a private swimming facility.
The Standard Garden description includes a sitting chair and coffee table, a refrigerator and tea or coffee facilities. Those details make the bungalow useful for time between outings, with the planted setting outside. The official page leaves its floor-area field unspecified, so an exact size should not be assigned to every bungalow from another category’s listing.
For two friends, bed type is a practical distinction rather than an assumed upgrade from Standard to Superior. A couple may prefer the king bed in the garden category without needing the activity around the pool. The actual bungalow position is relevant to whether the outdoor sitting area feels like part of the garden or an extension of the shared leisure space.

The pool is substantial, but not a promise of warm water
Laluna’s official facilities page lists a lagoon pool and sun deck, with published opening hours of 08:00–20:00. It also lists a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a tour desk near reception. The grounds provide a reason to return during the day rather than spending every hour in the city centre.
A November 2025 poolside guest found the pool too cold for comfortable use, while a January 2026 garden guest praised its size and enjoyed the breakfast. These are seasonal, personal experiences, not conflicting temperature measurements. A pool photograph does not answer whether someone sensitive to cool water will want to swim during their particular stay.
The garden attracts praise and a few specific cautions
A September 2026 Superior King guest particularly liked the landscaping. An August guest in the same category enjoyed the bungalow’s small terrace and large bed. These accounts help explain the property’s appeal to someone who wants a planted, low-rise setting after a city or temple outing.
The November 2025 poolside guest also reported mosquitoes, poor in-room internet and dirt in less visible bathroom areas. That remains an individual room account; a June 2026 guest later described satisfactory Wi-Fi and a large, attractive pool. The sensible distinction is between the setting guests choose and the variable performance they report, rather than assuming greenery guarantees either perfect comfort or problems everywhere.
A January 2026 Poolside King guest liked the room’s space and cleanliness but was less happy with pool-bar drinks. A July garden guest similarly thought restaurant and bar pricing high. These are personal judgements without a current price comparison, so they are useful as expectations about spending time on site, not as a claim that the hotel is objectively overpriced.
A Sanambin Road base for the temple itinerary
The official address is 160 Moo 14, Sanambin Road, Rop Wiang. Laluna is a Chiang Rai city-area base, but not accommodation at Wat Rong Khun or Wat Rong Suea Ten. Arrange separate transport for the White Temple and Blue Temple rather than treating the garden location as a reason to combine them on foot.
The hotel lists paid airport transfer and local taxi or tuk-tuk assistance, together with parking. That supports a trip using a vehicle, without establishing a free temple shuttle. Laluna is most convincing when the bungalow and pool are part of the holiday, and less so when every evening must begin immediately beside the central market streets.
