Superior and Deluxe differ by position
The official room list gives both Superior and Deluxe rooms as 32 square metres. Superior rooms are corner rooms on the lowest floor, with king or twin beds and a rain shower. Deluxe rooms are described with views towards the swimming pool and garden. Choosing Deluxe therefore needs a reason beyond expecting a larger room.
The Suite is described at 52 square metres on the main list, with a 52–55-square-metre range on its detailed page. It adds a separate living area with a sofa and television, a bedroom and a bathroom with a bath. A private terrace is also listed. That is a different arrangement for someone who plans to spend more time in the room, rather than just a different view from a standard room.
For a short temple trip, the Superior or Deluxe distinction can be made around the actual outlook and floor that suits you. The Suite’s extra living area matters more when you want space to read or sit separately after an outing. It should not be assumed to provide an extra bedroom simply because it is larger.
A pool at the hotel, a gym nearby
Le Patta officially lists a salt-water pool, parking, bicycle lending and a lift. The fitness provision is a partnership with nearby Gorilla Gym. The hotel publishes weekday and weekend opening periods and a closure on the third Saturday of each month. This is useful for someone who wants a substantial workout between outings, but it requires leaving the property and following the partner’s access arrangements.
A July 2026 Superior guest described using the gym after informing reception. A May guest separately reported pool maintenance during that stay. The latter is a dated account of a temporary interruption, not evidence that the pool remains closed. Anyone whose stay depends on swimming needs the current operating position rather than relying on either a pool photograph or an old maintenance report.
Guest accounts explain the appeal of returning to town
A September 2026 Deluxe guest liked the clean, spacious room and the lounge offering snacks, fruit and drinks. An August Deluxe Twin guest also found the room comfortable and well maintained, while another August Twin guest was bothered by insects. These are specific accounts from different stays, not a promise of the same supplies or room condition for every future reservation.
The central location receives repeated positive comment in those accounts. The address gives the hotel a different role from a secluded resort outside Chiang Rai: after an excursion, guests can use the city’s restaurants and markets. No exact walking time is promised here, since guests report different durations and personal walking needs vary.
White Temple and Blue Temple remain transport outings
Le Patta is a Chiang Rai city hotel, not accommodation within Wat Rong Khun or Wat Rong Suea Ten. The White Temple is outside the city to the south; the Blue Temple is in a different area north of the central town. Plan transport to each rather than treating a central address as proof that both can be reached as an ordinary short stroll.
The practical strength is returning to a central hotel with a pool, room choice and partner gym access after those separate visits. Travellers who want a larger resort landscape may prefer another base. Someone who values evening city access and can choose a room by outlook has a clear reason to keep Le Patta on the shortlist.
