The present name at the same Old City address
The current OYO brand page and Trip.com property listing both use Sunday Villa Sirilanna Hotel at 89/3 Ratchaphakhinai Road. Travellers may still encounter the shorter Sirilanna name in older material. The practical location is inside the Old City, rather than an outlying villa resort despite the name.
For the temple collection, Wat Chedi Luang is a sensible historic-centre visit from this side of town, with Wat Phra Singh another Old City outing. The property’s road address does not make the forest setting of Wat Umong or the mountain road to Doi Suthep part of the same neighbourhood. Those are separate journeys, not hotel facilities or guaranteed walking routes.
A spa bath does not guarantee daylight
The brand’s room collection distinguishes a Lanna Junior Suite with Spa Bath, a Lanna Deluxe Suite with Spa Bath marked “no balcony, no window”, and Luxury Twin or King rooms with a spa bath and private balcony. The windowless qualification should be treated as part of the room specification, rather than a small detail hidden by the suite name.
There is also a Luxury King option with pool access. This is access to the hotel’s shared pool, rather than a private swimming pool attached to the bedroom. It makes sense for a traveller who wants easy swimming, while a balcony category offers a different relationship with the outdoor space.
The Executive Triple is a further separate option and is labelled without a balcony. Choosing three-person accommodation does not therefore preserve the balcony of a Luxury King room. Travellers sharing should compare the actual category description with how they intend to use the room, especially if natural light or an outdoor seat is important.

Guests have liked the location but differed on upkeep
A Trip.com guest staying in a Lanna Deluxe Suite in June praised the comfortable bedding, location and pool, while describing the room as older. A Luxury Twin guest in August instead reported a missing shower door, limited breakfast choice and no luggage assistance during that stay. Neither account should be applied automatically to the other category.
A Luxury King guest in September reported a water interruption lasting part of a day. That is a significant individual experience, but the account does not establish an ongoing hotel-wide interruption or its cause. The broader lesson for this particular property is to pay attention to recent condition reports alongside the attraction of a spa bath.
Another Luxury King guest described a charge for early room access in June. A single transaction does not establish the fee for every reservation, but it does mean early check-in should not be assumed to be free. The published standard arrival time and the condition of the specific reserved room are more useful than relying on an older guest’s rate or a promotional headline.
A compact city stay with a pool
The brand page lists an outdoor pool, an on-site restaurant, air-conditioned rooms and a terrace. These are useful amenities for time between Old City outings. The accommodation is more naturally considered as a small city property than as a place to spend several days on a broad resort activity programme.
The clearest fit is a traveller who wants this Old City location and has chosen the room’s window, balcony and pool-access arrangement deliberately. Someone who needs abundant daylight should avoid the expressly windowless category, however appealing its suite label sounds. A traveller who is particularly sensitive to older bathroom fittings may prefer an alternative after weighing the specific maintenance accounts.
